National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP)

The purpose of NSHAP is to understand and improve the well-being of adults 55+ living in the U.S. It is a study conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago. As part of the study, you completed a survey and several measures related to your social and physical health.

Results from NSHAP

The goal of this website is to share information about the health measures you recently completed. You will find additional information about the different sensory measures and the fitness tracker activity mailed to you. You will also have the opportunity to see anonymous health results of others on the same measures.

When you read your results handout and the information in this website, we ask you to keep in mind the following:

All measures collected as part of NSHAP are for research purposes and are not meant to provide a medical diagnosis. Please reach out to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about any of your results.
